The 2010 ASM Scientific Writing and Publishing Institute will be held at the ASM Headquarters at 1752 N Street NW, Washington, DC. ASM is approximately 15 minutes from the Ronald Reagan National Airport (DCA), 45 minutes from Dulles International Airport (IAD) and 60 minutes from Baltimore Washington International Airport (BWI).
Travel
When making your travel arrangements, please make sure that you are available for the duration of the Institute.
Hotel
A block of rooms will be reserved for attendees for three nights at a hotel near the ASM Headquarters. For similar institutes, the 2009 price ranges between $159-$229 per night for single occupancy depending upon dates. Space is limited. More information to come.
Registration Fee
The 2010 ASM Scientific Writing and Publishing Institute registration fee is $500. This includes all scheduled meals, conference materials and access to all sessions. Space is limited.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be received in writing by February 22, 2010. If received by February 22, a refund will be issued minus a $100 processing fee. After February 22, no refund will be issued.
No Show Policy
Individuals who are accepted into the Institute and do not show up for the entire program ("no show") are not entitled to further participation in ASM’s Institute or other fellowship programs.
Family and Guest Policy
Although the Scientific Writing and Publishing Institute is very rewarding, it is also extremely intensive with long hours and evening assignments. Family members and guests are strongly encouraged not to attend.
