The 2012 ASM Scientific Writing and Publishing Institute will be held at the ASM Headquarters at 1752 N Street NW, Washington, DC. ASM is approximately 15 minutes from the Ronald Reagan National Airport (DCA), 45 minutes from Dulles International Airport (IAD) and 60 minutes from Baltimore Washington International Airport (BWI).
Travel
When making your travel arrangements, please make sure that you are available for the duration of the Institute.
Registration & Housing Fee
Registration fee includes all scheduled meals, conference materials and access to all sessions. Housing will be available for three nights at a local hotel in close proximity to the ASM Headquarters.
$ 600 (local participant registration, no housing)
$ 900 (registration & housing, double room)
$ 1,200 (registration & housing, single room)
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be received in writing by February 15, 2012. If received by February 15, a refund will be issued minus a $100 processing fee. After February 15, no refund will be issued.
No Show Policy
Individuals who are accepted into the Institute and do not show up for the entire program ("no show") are not entitled to further participation in ASM’s Institute or other fellowship programs.
Family and Guest Policy
Although the Scientific Writing and Publishing Institute is very rewarding, it is also extremely intensive with long hours and evening assignments. Family members and guests are strongly encouraged not to attend.
